[MLA College] BSc Sustainable Maritime Operations
This qualification is aimed at those wish to gain a full Bachelor’s degree, possibly upgrading from another previous achievement, e.g. Foundation degree. It will particularly suit those with a professional experience in the maritime world or an academic interest in the subject. It is delivered by fully tutor supported technology-enhanced distance learning. This course can fit flexibly around your work and life commitments.

Course Outline
The BSc undergraduate course has three modules and a final honours project. It is possible to take a break between modules for family or professional reasons.

Maritime Industry in the 21st Century (20 credits)
Optional Modules (choose two from the options below)
Metocean Processes and Impacts (30 credits)
Maritime Regulation and Governance (30 credits)
Maritime Operations (30 credits)
Hons Project (40 credits)
Course Outcome
This course will give you new management skills in analysis, evaluation, presentation and writing at a higher level. When you combine this with an understanding gained in the operation, governance and technology of the maritime world, then you will fully equipped to progress to a more advanced career level.
Entry Requirements
An equivalent to year two of a British degree in a relevant subject or Portfolio accreditation of Accredited Prior Learning (APL) and relevant work experience.
