Programmes Offered

RMIT offers a range of education options, from an apprenticeship, traineeship or certificate, to an associate degree, bachelor degree or postgraduate degree.

Postgraduate study

Deepen your knowledge to advance your career with postgraduate courses. Choose from graduate certificates, graduate diplomas and master's degrees, and get qualified in as little as six months.

Research programmes

RMIT offers research programmes at master and doctoral (PhD) level. Research programmes involve comprehensive, independent research under the supervision of an expert academic. At RMIT, you can do your research programme by project or thesis mode. The duration is usually two years full time for Masters and four years full time for doctoral (PhD) studies.

RMIT considers you an international student if you are:

  • intending to study on a student visa, or
  • not a citizen or permanent resident of Australia, or
  • not a New Zealand citizen, or
  • not a Temporary Protection visa (TPV) holder.
